We translate stories told by friends through our own identity, personal insight and experience.  There is no one literal translation of a these texts.  Architecture is much the same way.  We collect pieces of the visual world we see everyday, built, and in nature, we store it.  These subconscious memories of our past allow us to reconstruct a future that is both representative of something new, yet still contains a familiarity of something we once knew to be real.
